Glaus may not get regular playing time

When Troy Glaus agreed to join Triple-A Gwinnett last week, he envisioned that he would prove he could play third base and then return to the Majors to spend the season's final month in a regular role with the Braves.

The Braves placed Troy Glaus on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with what was defined as inflammation around his left knee.

Now that Troy Glaus has shown some signs of life and Chipper Jones has been lost for the season with a left knee injury, there is seemingly less reason to believe the Braves will promote first-base prospect Freddie Freeman before September.
