The Atlanta Braves picked up a game on the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League East race after beating Houston 4-2 as Brooks Conrad homers in the ninth to give the Braves the win. Atlanta now leads the NL East by two and a half games after second place Philadelphia lost 15-9 to Los Angeles.
